Vyras nodded. She'd always respected Dase and it pained her to see him so emotionless. Swiveling herself into a coil, she tucked her wings around her for warmth and slept. The skywing would awaken a few hours later.

Dase woke first, preparing himself for a long flight. He decided to warm up, first. He nimbly dived, nose-first, and before he hit the ground, he slowly unfurled his wings. He skimmed along the grass, and with one flap, flee straight back up again. "Yee-haw!" he roared happily, feeling the wind across his scales.

Vyras was woken by some Daar awful screech outside. Stretching her wing muscles she escaped through the hole and found Dase. He flapped and flew seeming to generally enjoy himself. As silent as she could, Vyras pounced on Dase mid flight.

"Ahh! Get off, you Temnokuus scum!" he growled, beginning to corkscrew, in the hope that the attacker would fall off.

Vyras was much lighter and more serpentine then Dase, so she held on and let the corkscrew turn her in what she described as "gentle circles". Plump with air, she let her rear wings spin over her head and around. "Hi Dase," the beautiful blue dragon called. Letting him go she hovered over a bed of clouds.

"Vyras!" Dase exclaimed angrily, "You tricked me! That's not fair. I thought you were on his side."

"Whose side?" she asked as if they were still Hatchlings, long before Temnokuus took over the land. "And besides, anythings fair in these times."

"Oh, Vyras," he said with a small smile, "Let's gather the troops. We need to tell them the news."

Vyras nodded. She swooped around, creating a huge rush of air. She glanced a quick look at the Bright-breasted Wyvern behind her. Dase had been a life long friend for her, a companion through the occupation of Temnokuus. Vyras couldn't think of a world without him.

"You go first. I'll--I'll be there in a second." He waited.

Worry echoed through her eyes, but she flew up past the cloud layer. The majestic, icy peaks loomed before her. Diving in and out of crevices, soon she landed on a ledge and called out a low, mournful call. Vyras then flew over and through the mountains to land in a huge chamber in a snowy valley.
((The valley is in between sheer peaks and is really a lake that is constantly frozen with a huge protective overhang.))

Dase watched her leave and swiftly turned around and flew away. He had some business to take care of.

Slowly, as to not appear guilty, dragons landed. They filled in the caves and overhangs. They landed in banks of snow. Others still listened through crevices. Vyras stood tall upon the slick ledge as she prepared what she would say to the assembled crowd.

"Where's Valvur?" hissed a dragon. He was Valvur's brother, and they grew up together.
